Who knows anything about Bovans??

I have bred a white rooster (Bovan) with golden hens (also Bovan) ... these have produced a mix of white and golden chicks. They are now 5 weeks old, and if combs are the way to tell whether they are male or female, it appears that I have some white females and some golden males ... and visa/versa. QUESTION ... is it possible to have a white female Bovan or a golden male?? I need to know quickly, because I have to know how many layers I have.
