who laid it

Seeing how ive lost 30 or so birds the last 2 weeks from a not chicken friendly animal Ive only got three layers. Barred Rock, Golden Comet, and a Silkie. This is a small egg so I would assume its a silkie. She had chicks when I got here a few weeks ago so I think this may be her first egg. Would you agree due to the size its most likely a silkie?

Is it just me or is that egg white? Barred rocks and Silkies both lay brown eggs. I have heard of Golden Comets laying white eggs before. My guess would be the Golden Comet. When chickens first start to lay, the eggs will be small but they will get bigger as time goes on. Congratulations on your first egg!

its more cream than light. Its actually my third egg. The other 2 were bigger and more brown.

That's a silkie egg. Silkies lay small, cream-colored eggs

Barred Rocks and Golden Comets lay brown eggs. Must be the silkie.

I've seen first eggs for large breed layers that size, though.
