Red Sex Links are a cross of a RIR roo over a Rhode Island White hen, and they are called sex links because you can tell what sex they are based on their coloring, females one color, males another. They are bred to be egg laying machines!!
On your blue laced red, it's likely a wyandotte cross, but may be a different kind, there are a couple of breeds that have that coloring, EE's are a cross of two breeds, usually an Araucauna or Ameracauna (two different breeds, but often mistaken for one) mixed with something else. The Araucauna or Ameracauna mix is where the blue or green egg gene comes from. EE's can lay any color egg because they can be any mix. They also do not have a "standard", and almost always have green legs. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions!!
