I have 13 hens. 12 of them are young between the ages 4 months and 3 months. Today my old lay Penny laid the cream egg. But who laid the dark one? I have barred rocks, Rhode island reds, buff orphingtons and some other red ones that look like Rhode islands

Pics of the RIRs? I would like to see if they really are RIRs. It's likely it is one of their eggs.

This is one of them. I have one that's the same shade of red with white neck feathers. Now I'm not sure what any of the red ones are lol. Rhode Islands or New Hampshires

Most Rhodies I've had were more of a darker color, more mohagany. She might be a sex link, but she looks too young to be laying yet.
