Barn got left open last night, we're thinking this poor guy was the first one out of the barn this morning and whatever it was was waiting for him. Neck and legs in tact. It was a 4 month old Bronze so good sized guy with a lot of fight in him. He was dragged about 20 feet from the opening of the barn, gutted and the breasts were eaten off. Only innards left was a small bit of intestine and the gizzard that were both taken outside of the bird cavity was literaly empty. I know we have foxes, skunks, and coyotes around here. Very clean kill, not pulled apart like a dog would do. Must have been strong to take down this turkey. I'm thinking bobcat, but that's just a guess. The neck has no markings on it so whatever it was must have grabbed it by the body and dragged it off kicking from the look of the feather trail. Any Ideas? I think we interupted it when we went to take care of everything this morning cause the body was fresh when we found it.
