Who Wants To Hatch With Me Setting Eggs In Bator In The Morning

Hi everyone been awhile since I have been on. Long story short last July I fell down some stairs and broke my right ankle in half on both sides of it. So needless to say my hatching days were over for awhile. We have since moved off the land due to the fact I have trouble walking up and dwn stairs LOL . So we moved into one of our other houses we own and i have about a acre and down sized from 400 chickens ,ducks,pheasants ect to about 40. So i am ready to get some new babies going i have 2 hovabators iw ill be putting a full set in one bator in the afternoon . So i want to know who wants to join this adventure? Should be fun feel free to share your experiences and ups and downs with us all.

I just put 7 eggs under my broody White Cochin hen!! I also have a broody BO hen that i am going to put some eggs under! Where are you from?

I'll join you. Just set twenty four White Leghorn and Easter Eggers last night to go with the thirty five White Midget turkey eggs I set a week ago. So far, so good.

So been ages since i have done this how long do yall let your eggs sit before putting in bator i just collected 8 more warm eggs?

I collect for 5 days. I store the eggs until I put them in the bator which is usually on the 6th day, allowing the eggs to get to room temperature. That is what I do, others with more experience will probably be able to answer better, but welcome!!

I also have a big white hen i think she is a white sexlink oh i dont know lol any way she is sitting on a clutch of eggs . So is my muscovy duck. they are in a nesting box in the coop with the rest of the chickens will this be ok? I am so excited its the first time I have had a hen sit on eggs

I hope she can hatch herself some babies >
