Who was the killer?

That is another interesting part. I examined both dogs and found no kind of evidence. Lucy has white/gray hair on her muzzle and there was no blood found. It would be harder to spot on my neighbor's dog being brown. I pulled open their mouths and did not find anything either. Probably 20-30 minutes after the incident. This also happened around 4:30 pm. Not too long before dusk. If I were a predator though I probably would hesitate with two dogs in the area. Wish I knew what happened. I'll just have to keep a close eye on Lucy and not let anymore dogs near the chickens.

What do you mean, "when they were young" ?? My kids are 23 and 25 and they're STILL like that when they're in the same room together! Hahaha!

I imagine they'll be little boys at heart until they're 63 and 65 and beyond.

I'd keep watch on your dog and see if it behaves any differently around the birds after the incident. We got a Golden pup last spring and the birds still put the run on him even though he is now over 75lbs. He still "bounces" at them to play, they just don't understand dog "body language" and sooner or later something is gonna happen if we aren't watching.....with our finger on the shock collar.
