Yeah, I don’t think Whiting True Blue roosters are great at surviving. My Marans aleays DI really well, but WTBs don’t last very long, even the ones that are farm-raised

Thank you! I think I like my new rooster better, though. He has quite a pair of spurs. I’m working up the courage to trim them, but even though he is nice, he is kind of scary looking with those foot-claws.

Yeah, I have heard they bleed a lot, and although I can deal with dead animals bleeding, the alive ones freak me out.
