Oh hun we're going to be good friends...lol! My DH LOVES fresh jalapenos and we can't grow them for nothing! I love making salsa and he loves eating it. We usually have to buy those. I'd trade for a box of them for sure!

Oh GOODY!!

It's almost time to start them. The weather is starting to warm up now. I'll get several plants this year. They sure were HOT last year! So, I hope he likes em that way.

That would be awesome too. You got my interest with those heirloom peas. All my stuff came from Johnny's this year, but none are on the list of Monsanto seeds. Next year I was going to do Bakers' Seeds.

I think we should probably join the existing seed swap over on the sister site The Easy Garden unless we just want to do some side swapping.

My friend always gets some from me and loves Hot stuff and he said all he could eat was about half of one. Me, I'm a whimp I take the seeds out.

I am in the middle of making Birch Syrup! Costly stuff though.......It runs about $65 per quart. Not at all sure how I could feasibly trade for it. I mean, what would be fair? Any ideas?

WOW that is expensive! You're in Alaska...I know your food is much more expensive. We would probably have to adjust some. I don't know what the equivalent would be because of the drastic differences in cost of living. I guess whatever anyone would be willing to part with for it that both parties are agreeable on you just can't argue with. I'd be willing to send a box of fresh produce or several dozen hatching eggs for a quart. My kiddo goes through some syrup. Here the maple is around $30 a quart.

It costs that much, because of the ratio of sap to syrup. Its 100 to 1, whereas with Maple, its 40 to 1.
We really are a bit more expensive then the lower 48, but nowhere near as spendy as Hawaii!
Probably not a good idea to trade it for anything.
