First time I've ever been so close to them! One ran away in the woods the other climbed a tree and looked right down at me.
I think it was actually chasing my neighbors cat, which she ran into my basement (or maybe had been there the whole time...not sure). My dog chased something bigger away into the woods. Could be a parent of the two youngsters? You bet I quickly closed the chicken coop door....from now on it will be closed at night. I know these two could easily slip into our chicken pen. I hadn't been closing the chicken coop door. I guess I got too comfortable. I've only had my chickens for 18 weeks. And I'm not gonna let those nasty preds get 'em!
