Will feeding layers (6 birds) a handful of whole corn every night in addition to their layer feed inhibit egg production?

Think it is because a handful isn't enough to make them fat, and the fact that most say not more than 10% treats. Imagine they love it.

Corn really isn't going to make chickens fat since (1) chickens eat to fill a caloric need, when that need is meet they stop eating till that need has to be met again and (2) the fat that is in corn is easily burnt off by poultry.

Look at it this way, most 16% protein poultry feeds contains about 70% corn in the mix that means that if your feeding a 16% protein feed that contains corn your birds are most likely eating 70 pounds of corn every time they through a 100 pounds of chicken feed.
