I know of no respiratory disease that kills that quickly.
It sounds like a toxin to me. If they were free ranging, they could have gotten into anything.
I agree with the @Eggcessive and @sourland that you should send a bird or two off for necropsy to find the cause of their very sudden deaths.
I'm very sorry for your loss. It's just horrible.

Agreed 100%. I don’t think there is a respiratory illness that kills in less than 24 hours.

OP I am so sorry that this happened to you. I would be devastated if all my babies died. I would check the yard for any toxic plants, antifreeze leaks, moldy food etc., as that definitely sounds like the likely culprit.
