Whole Oyster Shells for Calcium

    Ok so my son's friend has whole oyster shells. I think 2 five gallon buckets full. My DH told him to bring them for our chickens. I told him to wait till I asked about it on here. Can we use them like the ones you buy. This question probably sounds stupid but just want to make sure.

    You'd have to crush them up for them. They can't do that for themselves.
