We got our first egg yesterday, and a second one today. The hens a little young I think, just about 10 maybe 12 weeks old.

WOW! My oldest ones are about 10 weeks old. What breed are your precocious girls?

Man, we have GOT to get that coop done!! They are in a predator-proof pen (I know because I've seen the raccoons checking it out) but they are outgrowing it and there is no place for a nest box!!

Silver Cuckoo Marans.
Do a search for posts by me, I posted some pics when we first got them and a few afterwards.

Congrats on your eggs. I'm patiently waiting for the day my babies grow up and give me some eggs:) It will be even more exciting then getting my first eggs from the adults I purchased.
