Who's in your flock

2 breeds.
A single ameraucana, 30 black penedesenca pullets and hens, 12 black penedesenca roosters and cockerels (5 of which get butchered today or tomorrow). 3 BP chicks and 5 eggs in the incubator (4 of which are the ameraucana's eggs.

That's down from over 30 breeds over the years.

All my youth with white leghorns, Cornish rocks and ringneck pheasant till I went into the army and a long adult hiatus. The closure of the stable near me where I got free manure for my garden got me started in chickens again, for the manure. Then eggs, chicken math and boom. In 3 months I went from 10 hens (rocks, orps and JGs) to almost 100 of 21 different breeds. Building multiple structures for different purposes. Brooder house, primary hen house, grow out pens, breeder complex, rooster house. Some now gone, some being redesigned.
After trying several additional breeds and wanting to breed, I settled on these since I really don't have time or room to do justice to more than one breed. I have lots of breeds that I really admire and would like to keep but for my purposes, they're by far my favorite.
I also worked with scarlet and great green macaws in Costa Rica and worked Canada Geese here.
