Who's incubating?!?

Ok, so pretty sure at day 17 this evening, when candled for last time it looks like one has tried to make a pip.... So I'm now freaking out.... humidity has only been around 40-45 percent last day or 2, should I go ahead and add to get to 65% and leave it alone until for sure see something happening? Scared I've kinda killed them with low humidity and candling when they should have been in lockdown....

I wouldn't worry about it, I doubt you've done anything to hurt them. I didn't monitor my humidity at all and I didn't do lockdown. If they are strong healthy chicks they should do just fine. Hope you have a successful hatch!

Thank you once I Googled it it says around day 16 or 17 air sac tilts and they get in position and I think that's what I was seeing so I'm going to go ahead and put them on lockdown, did look like one had made a small hole that could only see when I candled it

So how long am I gonna be freaking out?

I set 4 BR 11/23, one didn't develop and fairly sure one has died, other 2 taking up most of the room in egg and can see movement when candle. How did your hatch go? This is my first time and have tried to be diligent to care for them right but still lot to learn
we successfully hatched 4 out of our 8. This was our first time hatching and next time around ill be more selective on which eggs I choose to incubate

Hey guys,
This is my first time hatching. I am nervous as I really want everything to go well. To keep myself from checking in on them constantly, I set up a youtube live stream. This way I can pull out my phone and look to see what, if anything, is happening. So far... nothing. Keeping my fingers crossed though. I'm on day 20 so far. Wish me luck.
So how did it go?

Last egg in incubator, chick #24 just hatched, doing great.

Out of the 24 chicks that hatched, 15 of them ended up being roosters, 9 were hens and one little hen died at about six weeks old. Got our first pullet egg yesterday at 20 weeks old. 7 of the pullets are Barred Rock/Cuckoo Marans cross, 1 is a Polish Splash/Cuckoo Marans cross.
