We usually watch "The Polar Express", "A Christmas Story", "The Grinch", "Santa Clause" and then we drive around looking at all the beautiful lights. Our neighbor down the street goes all out. You can park in his driveway and turn your radio to a certain station and his lights are synchronized to blink off and on to the music. I'll see if I can find his website, I'm sure there's a video of it.

Watch all of the videos they don't do it justice...it's so magical when your right there in front of all of it. Enjoy!!!

Will have the whole family home for Christmas and it has been soooooo long!

We typically have a nativity scene instead of a christmas tree but I put up a Charlie Brown tree on the porch. We place our presents around the nativity, like offering gifts to the newborn Christ and we dim the lights and sit around with candles lighting the nativity and tell how thankful we are for all the events of the past year. I used to read the birth story to the kids when they were little and I may do it again this year.

We watch all the old Christmas movies, and some of the new, on Christmas eve, eat some really good foods, and open at least one present. We bring the dogs and cats in for a "snuggly evening".

On Christmas eve I usually spend some time out under the night sky with all the animals. I thank God for my life and I pet and feed treats to the dogs and sheep.

This year I am going all out on decorating and am starting early. I will have my mom, sis and niece this year for Christmas and everything just has to be perfect!

I usually try to decorate with all live boughs and garlands, each enhanced and created just so by my own hands and the lighting is usually soulful and sweet. Each year I try to add different touches and no two years are alike. Except the Nativity. This is our one constant and I've used the same one since the kids were babies.

We've always done our Christmas celebrations on Christmas Eve... And venison chilli is always on the menu. There won't be many gifts from me this year, I'm a bit down on the finances. But, getting together with friends and family and celebrating Christ is the true meaning of Christmas for me, so yes, I am looking foreward to it.

I am too!

We have a few Christmas traditions.

1. We ALWAYS set a place at the table for Baby Jesus. And break Holy Bread after dinner.
2. We always go to the Christmas Eve 5pm service.
3. Christmas eve is spent with my parents, first meet at church and then to their house where Santa has already come.
4. Christmas Day is reserved for our kids. Santa comes that night after we return from the Grandparent's house.

Those are the ones that never change.
