Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

6/12 of the brahmas went to lockdown. The ones that did not make it were all quitters, and oddly, all were light brahmas. Only 5 of the Swedish Flowers made it to lockdown. Most were clears.

One Brahma was cheeping at me while candling, lol.

Having a bit of difficulty maintaining RH. I added an extra reservoir of water and closed one of the vents.

I go in lockdown the same time as you! I'll have to keep an eye on your posts to see who's hatches first ;) :p

Yay! I can't wait. My hatches Have always been a day early, I think that's because the temp was always running higher than usual. Now that they're in the brinsea I don't expect them early :) but I can hope right???

I go to lockdown Tuesday evening so should have babies Friday if I'm lucky. Will candle tomorrow just beforehand and ditch the duds. There are 17 in at the moment, 6 miniature silkies, 2 red Pekins, 3 lemon Pekins and 6 mixed Polish. I can't wait 'til Friday to see what hatches.

Great to see the pics of those already with babies and good luck to everyone over the next few days!

Yay! Lots of us are due Thursday & Friday :)

<My babies have to be on time because I'll be out of the house all day Saturday...even though I have shy eggs, I still want to be around in case something goes awry.

Ack. My bator was fine, we went to bed, and the temp dropped to 97 overnight. Probably about 8-9 hours. The turner makes that much heat! I hope they are OK. I suppose too cold is a bit better than too warm.

When is your hatch due?Ive said this before but i READ Brinsea has a bator out that has a cool setting b/ c they think hens get off the eggs for sometimes even long petiods.Suppose to be good for the eggs 3% better hatches they say.So going by that shouldnt hurt.
