Who's setting with me Sept 1st-4th?

I have used glue sticks to seal small cracks with, and had great success in the past....
I just put the first 3 hatched chicks into the small brooder I keep on my porch, have 3 more in the incubator, and 4 more with external pips...will take pics and post tomorrow.

Oh darn, my humidity dropped to 50% all freaking night! Ugh!

I had one pip through it and it's peeping. The other that pipped is doing nothing. I raised it back up to 60%. I have one egg doing nothing, but it's early. Hatch day is suppose to be tomorrow.

Pic of the first 3 a few minutes after I put them in the brooder. Had 4 more hatched out this morning, but one was dead. Looked like it didn't ingest the yolk sac all the way.

So sorry to hear about your dead chick what makes them not absorb all the yolk sac before they hatch?? I hope all the others are doing good!

I'm not sure why this chick didn't ingest it's yolk sac before hatching out. I've never had it happen before with one that hatched out all by itself. It sometimes happens if you try to assist one too early. But I never touched this one, it just came out that way. So far a total of 9 have hatched, with one dying. Still have 7 eggs left.

I have had 2 hatch themselves with partial yolk, both lived! Oh, my first chick just hatched. It's a black pure ameraucana.
