Who's who?

Was it the tower setup? I had a break down at TSC when I went in and saw a dead chick in one. I asked them to remove it, but they didn't. (at least until after I left, which was about an hour)
YES! I hated that setup! I'm not sure why they did that.. maybe so it would take up less space? It was ridiculous.

That style of brooder has been around for decades, and it can work very well when it is properly managed. TSC did seem to have trouble, especially with the height/temperature of the heater part.

Other than space, and making it easy to see the chicks, the major benefit is cleanliness: no shavings & poop in the water, none in the feed, and you can dump the tray of droppings without having to move the chicks each time.

Yes, I definitely see the benifits-just wished TSC had been more responsible. (not trying to hate or anything)

Although it was a new design, that didn't mean you could just totally forget about it and not do anything.
