Do you have a certain chicken or breed that you prefer? Do you have specific things you like about each hen? I have one that follows me around the coop/run. She doesn't care what I'm doing but she always pecks at me to let me know she is near. Her name is Bella(my daughter names her)

I would say my silver duckwings have been my favorite. I have a pair and they are so funny to watch! I think the pullet has a crush on my silver Sebright cockerel because she always hangs out with him, and completely ignores my duckwing cockerel. He tries so hard to impress her too. He will make a spot for her next to him on the roost and she usually goes and sits next to the Sebright. By then, the duckwing will step on all the other chickens backs, and squeeze inbetween them and snuggle up against the pullet.
Yesterday I was petting him and he was making a purring/chirping noise and she flew up next to him and he jumped up, and puffed his feathers out. He then ducked away from my petting and tried to wing dance her and she ende up roosting next to him. I went to pet him again and he gave me a really soft peck and gave me a look like "don't me embarrass me!" Out of all the roosters I've had, my silver duckwing bantams have always been my favorite.

I have silver laced wyandottes, black australorps, red sex linked and leghorns. My favorite by far is my red sex linked. I find them to be incredibly sweet, good natured and friendly.

I have buff orpingtons, black sex links, rhode islands and EE. I like the one rhode.... Always being nosey. One black sex link.... Always pecks at my butt, lol one Americana (EE) that love for me to hold her. I just love sitting in the run with them, they all want my attention. They like to talk back too! They aren't afraid of my cat, like its no big deal. I love my girls. I carry them around with me while I'm in the garden, or when I'm weeding or doing anything in my garden they love to join me. Such characters... I didn't know chickens could be so much fun!!!!!

I have Silver Laced wyandottes, Silver Spangled Hamburgs and Lavender Orpingtons...my fav breed are the Lav.Orps, they are just sweet natured birds. And of course my favorite chicken is one of my Lav Orp hens...she is always following me and seems to be extremely interested in what im doing.

I have five (Barred Rock, Golden Comet, Light Brahma, Black Australorp & Easter Egger). In the beginning my favorite was my BA however now that they're 19 weeks the BR & LB are by far my favorite. The personalities and friendliness of these two breeds has won me over.

My BR is a really silly girl. One day I was cleaning the house so I cracked my sliding glass door to allow the house to air out. As I walked into my bedroom I was shocked by what I discovered:)

I have 2 cuckoo marans, and they are very flighty as well. The few times I've ever had to pick them up, they scream like I'm pulling their wings off. Crybabies.

My EE is very friendly, and she loves to sit on my lap. I also have a black sex link that is a lap chicken. She's actually the most human-sociable of the group.

1 Welsummer cockerel. So far, he's a pretty good boy.

I have a little white ameracauna (probably EE) that I named Sweetheart, because she is one. She makes cute little noises and likes to sit on my knee for petting when I crouch down in the coop to refill feeders or swish and dump the dirtied auto water bowl.

My speckled sussex LaLa seems to have the most outgoing curious personality. She's very talkative and now that we've added two pullets, she's become a bit of a bully. She was always #3 in pecking order, but you wouldn't believe that to see her chasing the young ones, crowing and now she's even started "mounting" my young ones.

I'm madly in love with my little Ameraucana Hazel. She was raised on a farm by my friend, so I expected her to be pretty feral and standoffish, but she's adorable, very sweet, loves to be picked up and always comes and sits by me when I'm on the deck.

My cuckoo marans Gertrude that was raised with Hazel is a bit more nervous but still much more tame than expected is so funny. I should have named her Eeyore after the donkey in Winnie the Pooh. Instead of clucking like the rest of them, she moans. It's really adorable, but makes her sound so unhappy all the time.

I love my BO Miss Betty too, she's a sweet gentle girl. My GLW Mabel is a bit standoffish even though she was hand raised with my SS and BO.

My "favorite" varies day by day.
