I have 4 chickens that are just starting to lay. Three of them are brown egg layers, a RIR, a black Australorp, and a barred Plymouth Rock. The forth is an Americauna which has laid one big, blue egg. I am getting two different colors and sizes of brown eggs, but can't tell which bird is laying which. I know one is the RIR as I've frequently found her on the nest, and think the other is the Australorp. I have some eggs that are slightly darker and slightly larger than the others. Which bird would lay the darker eggs?

Welcome to BYC.
Would you take a photo of the eggs and post it so that we can see the colors? "Slightly darker" is not going to give us much to go on in IDing potential source hen without knowing how dark the egg it is being compared to is -- seeing the colors is more helpful.

Here are my eggs pics. The white one is a large commercial egg for comparison. Thanks.

The ones on the right RIR, the other on the left looked like from the other two, one egg looks like a different shape, so maybe two different hens.
