Whose scat is this, and should I be worried?

Last week I noticed some kind of animal scat one day. This week, whatever the animal is came back and left scat again. I was wondering if anyone could recognize where the scat is from. Attached is a picture of the scat.

dsnt look like California raccoon.. to big to dark.. but DNT TOUCH IT...!!!!!!!! IF ITS A COON u can contract deadly worms...

Here in NJ, coons are eating blackberries and mulberries at the present time; hence, they poop purple. Coyotes and fox are not above dining on both fruits. Last night the coyotes were serenading. I know they have been around for a while, but they have generally been silent. I've seen their tracks for years, but this is the first that I have heard them. Maybe a pair calling their pups back home?

You need to put up a game cam in your yard or a surveillance system. That will tell you for sure. But in the meantime, that's either fox or raccoon probably. I totally agree with the previous replies, and definitely don't touch it with bare hands.
