why aint my ducks laying eggs/mating

My ducks don't often nest. Usually they lay where ever and often they will hide their eggs. I remember when I was new to ducks and we got an adult female... we had her for a couple of weeks and no eggs, then one day I found a place within their small night time pen that looked perfectly level, but was really a small depression with 12 eggs in it, covered lightly with straw! She'd managed to hide them very well. You might have an egg hider, they can be very good at it. Otherwise, I'd consider their diet - what do they eat?

Mine are not laying either. One egg a week is all... My muscovies were laying up a storm and now they are caged up until I finish the fence and nothing...zip... Not an egg in sight.

I have 2 female black swedsish ducks and a magpie female and male the ducks have started laying but there is no mating should i seperate him from them for a bit. because i think they have grown up more like sisters and brothers rather than mates.
