Why am I getting fragile eggs?

Worms, lice and mites can cause week shells. Also, treats like spinach can remove calcium.

I would ditch the scratch and peck feed and get a different type. The peletizied feeds and crumbles have all the nutrition in each bite. you can still get organic like modesto mills or w type that is local. You might try the new purina organic layer. I think that is available every where.

If lice, mites, worms and respiratory issues are negative.
Try mixing some Oyster Shells in with Scratch Grains and toss in their pen.
Vitamin supplements may help.
I've been through a few heat waves this summer and feed consumption was way down.
To increase feed consumption and the vitamins, minerals and Protein it contains to produce strong shells. I make a very wet mash with cold water, a 1/4 cup dry feed per hen. They love it on them 90 degree days 20180705_135526.jpg . On days in the 70s I use room temp water. They have unlimited access to dry feed in the coop.
I also put some Oyster Shells in a mixed bird seed I toss in their pen as a treat. 1# to 20#.
I feed a Non-Medicated Start & Grow so they need some Oyster Shells. GC

I don't think that your feed is a problem, although I do feed Flock Raiser and feel it's better nutritionally, along with separate oyster shell.
Adding electrolytes isn't a solution either, just plain water is best.
Older birds will sometimes lay larger thin shelled eggs, just because.
I'm going to blame it on the hot weather instead. Shade, cold water, cold watermelon, anything to help with the heat stress matters.
Hopefully your birds will feel better, and produce better eggs, this fall. At least when they aren't molting!

My birds are eating well and have plenty of water available. I bought some "Feather Fixer" 18% protein and mixed it in with my usual 16% 50:50 and added some Manna Pro Omega Egg Builder vitamin mix with the above feeds. I don't feel that my birds are sick in anyway or not eating well.
