Why am I having so much trouble selling my eggs?

thanks for the advice for selling the eggs. hopefully things will look up after i get a few shows under my belt and can use those to my advantage. ive noticed that not very many people offer speckled sussex eggs and ive already had PM's about them and ive had alot of request for the ameraucanas too bad im not comfortable selling them yet

Classic 4-H advice. "Start with the very best you can afford and work from there. It costs just as much to feed show birds as it does mutts." We have been at this since 2000. It takes a lot of work, hundreds of hatchlings, and a lot of culling to get to a point where people start searching you out.
 
If you don't have a website to sell from and are not having any luck on BYC I would hatch your own eggs and offer the chicks for sale. We have a waiting list for some of our birds but then we have some types that don't sell as well also. I hatched over 1,000 chicks last year and sold them locally and we sold around 150 dozen eggs for human consumption also.
