Why are my chickens suddenly so scared

When I went out to see the chicken I noticed they were sort of running away from me why are they??,?

Something scared them--dogs, raccoons, children, space aliens. Consider your local preditors, with dogs close to the top of the list. They will get over it, but consider what may have been trying to eat them.

Okay thanks I went out there again a couple hours later and they were fine I yesterday I was dusting a carpet so I brang it outside and unrolled it and they got really really scared but they were fine afterward when I gave them corn
