I just combined my 10 black Australorps and Wyandottes together with my leghorns and Rhode island reds together(they are a little younger), and I guess that I didn't double on the water like I should of, and they were out dry at lunch, when I watered them full at morning. They started drinking like they had never seen water, and after I thought one was finished(it was sleeping), I picked it up, and it spat out the water, all sticky. I believe that it was dehydrated. Are the chicks okay?

They are still doing it, it has been 28 hours since I noticed them drooling, and they are still doing it. Any ideas?
You may want to post over on the Emergencies and Injuries board, they are very responsive and knowledgeable over there. I like just reading the posts just in case anything arises in the future.

I’m sorry I don’t have helpful advice for your chicks.
