First time raising chicks. They are only 2 days old and VERY tame!
I put my hand in their home and one will come over and just let me pick it up.
I take all of them out (4) and just pet them and let them sleep on me.
One of them actually likes to crawl into my hair and sleep.

They are ALL very calm and nice with me.
Is this normal?

Also, what is the chance they imprinted on me. We got them in the mail, I MIGHT have been the first person they saw... =/

Well, someone had to put them in the box so you're probably not the first person they saw

BUT I think it's AWESOME that they're so tame! You're very very lucky.

eta: in my experience, no it is not normal for them to act tame. All but 1 of mine don't like me and they're a bit over a week old.

Very Cute! You are just lucky and/or a very good chick Mom! I think handling them daily is key, mine took a week or so to get used to us. I also think certain chicken breeds are more calm than other, what kind are yours?

Mine are black-sex links. I know.. hybrid or whatever.

I also have 5 Rhode Island Reds, and they are dolls. XD
I think animals just really love me..

im jealous! my chickies think my hand is some sort of monster that gives them oatmeal!! they run from me all the time but if i have treats the kick off all the treats and then eat them off the ground
