Why are my computers different??

I check this forum out on my home (PC) and work (Laptop) computers.

On my PC, I have ads at the top of the index, on my Laptop I have the latest contest posted.

Why is this??? Is it in my preferences/settings????

I know my brother in law's work computer has tons of blocks. (he works for Philips).

But I am self employeed and set my own computers up.

I swear, it's like two different sites. Not pop ups, but the PC has banner advertising and the laptop just has site advertising. My CP settings are the same. Just odd, no problem with pop ups or anything. Just courious why

Do you use IE on one, and maybe Firefox on the other? Or is one newer than the other? Until I got a new computer last week I was running Millenium Edition, and the same sites looked very different on DD's computer...she has XP. Now, i have Vista

and everything is different again...
