Today I received this message when I logged into the site.
I didn't receive any warnings or explanations before this, so I'm pretty confused and just trying to figure out what this "blocking" is connected with. Is it my violation of the rules that led to the blocking, or some, I don't know, possible political sanctions (I'm a citizen of Russia, not a politician, but what if), or is it some hardware error connected with my provider, or the configuration of my not-so-new computer (Windows 8), or something else?
I'm just trying to build a plan for my further actions. If this is the decision of the forum administration, or someone else's "political" decision - then, of course, I won't argue and will accept it.
If this is some provider or hardware problem - well, then I'll probably experiment, log in from different computers, through different browsers, use a proxy, etc. I was blocked by the administration and must leave the forum, or is it some kind of hardware error (specifically my provider, browser, or something else)?

Our server has been hit with a lot of spam and bot hits from Russia, so our system software is probably blocking you in large part due to location.

I'll see if there's a way we can safely allow "legit" traffic from Russia, while blocking the bad-actors.

In the meantime, do you have a proxy or VPN you can use to access BYC?

Many thanks to everyone who answered and resolved my doubts. I am sometimes a suspicious person and was scared that I had seriously violated something and was therefore blocked. I am very glad that this is only protection against malicious attacks and spam.
Yes, I can quite easily access the site, using probably either all or many online proxies found using Google. Some proxies do open the site in viewing mode and do not allow me to write or post anything, and some (like now) do open it, although I have to enter my login and password every time, and the connection itself becomes noticeably slow.
But there is no tragedy in this, there is a technical possibility to log in, so you probably shouldn't worry and risk getting under malicious attacks. I remember when I worked as a system administrator in Russian electronic networks many years ago - this was constant there, many computers and servers often worked unstably due to computer viruses. So my personal suggestion is this: let's leave everything as is, when I want to look at photos of chickens or discuss something - I will just go through a random proxy server found through Google.
There is no point in risking the security of such a good and informative forum.
Don't change the security settings, I will just use the proxy.
Thanks again for the help and information!
