Why are my ducks yellow?

It seems like the yellow spots have gone away now.

Looks like it was the yellow of the oil gland. You could see it due to the white of the duck.

Ive had white duck- never saw this, beside that looks like bright yellow

It happens especially with younger ducks (or in my experience it was my younger ducks). All of my muscovy ducks have a bright yellow oil gland.

Here's a thread regarding a white muscovy and the oil gland. It has a great photo of the yellow oil from the gland. When you read a few replies down, Miss Lydia comments about how the yellow oil will get all over the white ducks when they preen.

Yeah just some stains from an egg or dandelion or poop or something, they always go away after a little while.
