Why are the eggs tuff to crack??

My chxiekns just started laying. Thy are five months old. Their eggs are very small. I've read this can be normal. However I've cracked a few of them and they are very very tuff to crack and the shell ends pushing up into the yolk even before it hits the bowl. Is this a common thing?? Am I suppose to be eating the little eggs?? Lol

You can eat the little eggs. Shells on eggs should be hard, that's the way a great egg is. This is normal.

you are fine to eat your little egg its a great thing that the shells are hard ..... you want them like that!!
