WHY ARENT MY HENS LAYING?

I bought these girls in June 10th 2024 at tractor supply. They were just chicks and I’m guessing they were only a few days old. Thing is they have not laid anything at all. I’m not sure if it’s their age or something else. Should I wait longer? Or is it their age? Thank you

Mine from June aren't laying yet either. 5 months is pretty young to start this time of year unless it's a production breed. Looks like you have a few months to go looking at the lack of comb and wattle development.
Okay thank you. I was wondering if it was the age because my silver laced Wyandotte (the one in the picture) doesn’t look like the adult ones I see online
 
Where in this world are you located? At 5 months they are old enough to lay, or close to it, but if you are in the northern hemisphere, the days are getting shorter and that's a factor. They generally need close to 14 hours of sunlight a day to lay, so you may have to wait till spring. A lot of us are in the same boat. Frustrating, I know!
