why aren't my roosters crowing yet?

Life develops at its own pace. Each rooster crows when it is ready; most sooner than 6 months. If they are healthy-eating, drinking, active they will crow when they are ready. Examine them closely that there are no symptoms of a disease and then relax.

I have seven giant Cochin roosters who are hatch mates and all seven months old. None of them have even ATTEMPTED to crow. And yet I had a Silkie crowing at two weeks old. Every chicken is different, and they will crow when they are ready :)

I have a rir and a br roosters there about 6 months old and there not crowing yet are they not old enough yet?

Most roosters begin crowing from 4-5 months old, but sometimes considerably later, and on rare occasions they can be nearly a year old before they begin crowing.
