Why aren't they laying?

I have 5 2-3 yr old hens. I have had them since about June and we have only got about 25 brown eggs and 5 pink eggs. If they don't start laying they will be gone. Should I put a light in the coop? When we first got them we were told they were molting.

Unfortunately you've been duped. You aren't going to get very many eggs from 2 - 3 year old or older hens.
