why broody hens go broody mid summer to late summer

because my broody hen Ashley she been since two year and now beginning of this mouth she went back broody again and also now today she just newborn tiny chick but i don't how many are there yet

My hens always seem to go broody in warmer weather, so once Spring and Summer arrive they take turns in going broody. Last week I had 4 of them in separated cages!

Congratulations on the little chick. I wonder if she has any more with her now? Your hen is lovely, by the way.
