Gah! Y'all are terrible. I was going to stop, since I've got the chickens I want - just waiting for them to grow up so I can sell eggs and chicks. Now you've got me wondering if maybe I should try hatching a couple days worth of eggs - Mutts. I haven't tried to sell any yet. I have no idea what my rooster is except that its got some barred. I've gotten some cool looking chicks out of him with my red stars, black stars, and EE.

cant wait till i have a bator andsome eggs from my girls to hatch. our plan is to butcher the roos but havent told hubby yet i will need a way bigger coop

Let us know if u find a way, but until then have fun. I know since I got my new incubator this last spring, it's been constantly on and holding temp right between 98.5 & 100.5.

I still don't believe REAL chickens come out of that thing!

I have figured out what it takes to stop hatching.

1.The electric company shut your power off and not have a generator and No hens go broody.
and not Have neighbors close enough to borrow extension cords.

Thats the only thing I could think of that would make most of us stop lol.

oh I know what makes you stop------have 2- 15 dozen incubators...it dont take long till you are swimming in fuzzy butts...every spring I hatch out chicks for our small church for eating and laying hens and then the kids sell some for spending money by the time summer gets here I am tired of chicks...this year my grandson is trying his hand at silkies,I am hoping he will get into 4 H or something simular and enjoy his chickens.....
