why can't I take them out of the brooder after a week or two?

No problem! Sounds like you have some happy chicks! Before I put mine into the coop I was brooding them in my bedroom! Don’t even get me started on the chirping!

lol they are in my master bathroom which may as well be the bedroom. Gonna be a long night.
