I have a goat barn with some loose chickens of different breeds in there. One of them a 3 year old blue leghornish hen lays a gigantic white egg. The top roos in there are silverlaced wyandottes. So I decided to put one egg in there from her to hopefully get a pullet to put in the barn to lay eggs. Well the cutie hatched yesterday. His comb and waddles are very big and I think it is a rooster!! As if I didn't already have AS MANY ROOSTERS AS I DO HENS!!! I know it isn't his fault at all, but now I don't know what to do with him. I don't ''do'' meat birds at all, and I already have too many roos. I have about 15-20 roos to sell right now. How do you get rid of extra roos, other than for meat?
