Why did I get a notification about a new thread?

But why am I just getting a notification now, if I’m sure there have been other threads created, which I haven’t gotten notifications for. And how are they correlated?

Maybe it got moved, and because you were watching it said a new thread was started.

Because I’m watching the B&G forum, and even if the thread was made ages ago, if it gets moved into B&G it notifies me as if it’s a new thread.

I have been getting the occasional alert to areas I do not/did not watch as well.

I get a new alert whenever a thread I am watching gets moved to a different forum.
