I LOVE my two pilgrim goslings. They are so sweet, friendly and mellow. They crack me up every time I am around them. They hatched around 5/20 if I recall correctly.
I have 36 ducks and was worried about geese being unfriendly or loud. I have yet to see how loud they are and we are handling them lots to ensure they are friendly. Our gander lets you pick him up and carry him around, he seems to enjoy it. Our goose is nervous about being picked up or set down but the carrying/holding part is fine. She just hangs out and eats out of your hands.
I love when my gander gets scared and runs away with his itty bitty wings out. I'm sure it will be formidable when he is bigger, but right now those scrawny little wings are just humorous.
I can't wait to see them full grown and hope they follow me around the yard and help me garden and do yardwork like the ducks do.
Here is a picture of them with their buddy the lone survivor guinea keet from a shipped egg order.
