Why did my peking duck stop laying?

I have a chicken coop with chickens and 2 Pekings--one male, one female. I have been getting almost an egg a day from her since she started laying in January. One week ago, she suddenly stopped laying altogether. She hasn't changed her behavior otherwise. She doesn't sit on the nest and I'd been collecting her eggs regularly anyways. Why is this?

Is she molting??? Is there anywhere else she may be hiding a nest??

Maybe your pekin is taking a break.

It's pretty common for duck hens to take breaks, especially birds bred more for meat and show than for egg laying ability. She may be getting ready to molt (you'll notice lots of feathers around and a disheveled look about your hen when/if that happens), or she may just be tired and needing to recharge. Keeping taking care of her. One morning you'll be surprised by an egg again.
