My six-year old Black Star died this morning. She was laying eggs this spring, went broody, and I haven't seen eggs since. I found her this morning on a perch with her wing hanging down. I tucked her wing back under her. I went out to check on an hour later, and she was dead with her head under the feeder. When my husband picked her up, yellow liquid came out of her back end.
