I have two Buff Orpington hens. They are about a year old now. I didn't get any eggs through the winter. I changed their feed and I recently got about a month worth of eggs and they stopped laying again. I have no idea what is wrong. I do not see them loosing feathers, they aren't fighting. They always have fresh water and feed. I check on them 3 times a day. Nothing is in the coop.. Help I am lost as to what to do next..

Has there been any stress-inducing event recently? Stress can make hens stop laying for a time until their stress levels go down again.

Nope. They are out loving normal chicken life. See that is what has me completely baffled. It is starting to worry me now. They are eating and drinking still. I have checked their vents and nothing appears blocked. I don't know what else it could be.

My bantam is a year and a half and she too has stop laying eggs. She does she to be molting. Any ideas

I can't believe with all the chicken "experts" no one can help give us an idea

I was getting 7-8 eggs from mine on a daily basis.now its 4-2.I have one that has gone broody.she is sitting on 3 eggs.I have 4 more that are clucking and puffing up their feathers.which is a sign of broodiness. And plus we getting into the hot summer months.and the heat will cause them to slow down.
