Why didn't eggs hatch.

I put 40 eggs in the incubator and only 2 hatched. I herd peeping in about 10 others but they still didn't hatch. I was curious so I cracked about 15 open and fut developed chicks were in there. During the week before the hatch it rained all week. Some people say it was humidity and others say it was because I feed omega 3 pellets mixed in with my regular layer pellets. What do you all think? Tks in advance.

Could have been so many things...best thing to do is look on the incubators anonymous thread or another hatching thread for researching and/or posting there.

It could have been a number of things, from incorrect humidity to poor nutrition. Here's a troubleshooting guide for hatch failures. Have a look through there, maybe it will help:

I know its not poor nutrition because I feed purina layer pellets, purina scratch, purina crumble, purina omega 3, and cracked corn all mixed together. Plus they get fresh fruit, vegetables, oyster shell, and treats. Thanks ill check that sight out.

It could be a genetic nutritional problem (unless you had better hatches with this group before). Chicks can inherit vitamin deficiencies even when they have superior food supplements.
