Hi guys!
I'm not new to this site so I know a fair bit about chickens but I'm currently incubating Serama chicks and last night I heard chirping, non of the eggs had started to hatch so I knew that they'd start to within the next 24hrs. Surprisingly, the one that I thought had stop developing hatched today and the one I thought would hatch, hasn't yet. I know that obviously they don't always hatch at the the same time but when I candle lit the second egg today, the embryo looked a lot smaller then I remembered and although I'm sure I felt it move when I picked up yesterday, there doesn't seem to be any movement today. PLUSSSSSS. The hatched chick keep sleeping either on or right next too the (what I think) dead chick.. Does anyone know what might of happened? Could it be that I opened the incubator too many times or handled the eggs too roughly although I try my hardest to be and gentle with them as possible!
Sorry for the essay guys
