Why do I bother?

    I fill their 1 qt. feeder screw the lid on and put it in the brooder. Five minutes later it's empty and scattered all over in the pine shavings. [​IMG]

    Try putting it on a small piece of 2x4 so they can't scratch the feed out. Works for me.

    I had sort of the same problem, except in my case it was chips in the waterer. I put then on top of two landscape pavers. Problem solved. I am not a fan at all of the feeders like the ones you use. I could invision the same trouble standing in TSC looking at my options. I settled on the trough feeders, the red plastic ones with the closable lid. No feed spillage at all with these, however they will kick in some chips, but it does not cause a problem. The feeders are very inexpensive, get a couple and solve your delima. Feed gets expensive. Chris [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    All food and water should be shoulder level with the birds to help prevent dumping/scratching/ wasting of food & water
