I have not observed any pecking, is that what this is?

Poor thing. Could be from pecking. I would spray with blu cote. The others should stop picking on her so she can heal.

My DH has the same thing, doctor said it was my fault causing him too much stress with my chicken additction!!

Sorry that was no help, I agree with purpletree23, I would definately blu cote. Hopefully that will sort it out.

How old is this chicken? It looks like the feathers are still developing. If that's the case, it will eventually just fill in.

I'd watch it closely...my Polish Crested were pecked at and it started out looking like that. Unfortunately, we had to build a new coop/run just for them. We have 3 - 2 pullets & a cockerel. One pullet wasn't pecked, the other pullet was pecked pretty bad and the cockerel was pecked bald. They are doing well now, but most of what I have read says they don't do well with other types of chickens.

I have 4 WCBP's. Two are def roos and one is def a pullet. The one in the pic above I'm not sure, the crest shape is hard to determine due to the "part." I'm not sure how I can keep this one separated. Building another coop is not in the cards. I may have to give this one away. I plan on selling the alarm clock roosters anyway. I don't want the pullet to get lonely so we shall see.

I wonder who is doing the pecking? If it turns out that baldy is a rooster I wonder if the boys are fighting over Lucille?
