Why Do People Buy Live Chicks From Breeders and Farm Stores‭?

I pay no attention to that.
;)
I have mixed emotions about that.
Afraid its gonna turn into a contest with some posters just trying to rack up posts.
I've seen a poster that seems to want to answer about every post with a question in it. Bad deal is usually they're way off with their answers.
Then there were two members posting post after post of chit chat on one of my threads. I mentioned I was concerned that they were racking up the pages on the thread which I didn't want since when threads get to long others don't want to read through it all sometimes.
I like the idea of encouraging people to post more and participate more but I guess there's always good and bad that goes with that.

Always. Some people really thrive on things such as this. I am not one. Makes zero difference in my real life where I am on the leaderboards.

Then again look at me posting off topic in this thread.

So back on topic....
What is this thread even about?
Seems its jumped from this that to the other.
Suppose to be about how buying chicks from hatcheries is no bueno.

I think you're right but I hope it will calm down after a while. There are bound to be people who will see it as a competition but I think they'll realise after a while there are no prizes.
It's worth a try I think. Posting helps keep the forum alive. I wouldn't know about people chit chatting on a thread I made........it never happens to me:p:D

The chit chatting helps sometimes. It allows me to get to know who one is and how they think...which can be a good thing.

Honestly, I really don't mind. Attempts at serious posting makes my brain hurt.
I do like to answer people wo have asked a direct question though; it just seems polite in general, especially if they've gone to the effort of making a long and reasonable post.
